How does it work?

You let us know your basic info, requirements, abilities, number of hiking days etc. Then we provide you with recommendations for your hike. Once we agree upon the route that suits you best, we provide you with full details for the whole trip. In other words, you get your own personalised hiking itinerary.

Of course, you can just tell us exactly which route you would like to hike and we’ll carefully look into it and prepare a full itinerary with all the details.

How much does it cost?

Your personalised hiking itinerary comes for as little as 129€ and includes the following:

  • Detailed itinerary with instructions for up to 6 days*
  • A free hard copy map delivered to your door anywhere in the world
  • Specialised weather forecast for the mountain region
  • GPS tracks of all your hikes
  • Local expert advice and any other support you may require

Price only includes what is listed above. The cost of transport, accommodation, insurance or any other personal expenses are not included.

 

*Itinerary comes in a written version (pdf file), so you can print it out and carry with you, so you don’t have to be reliant on electronic devices. It includes:

  • Point-to-point description
  • Assistance with booking accommodation / huts and local transport (traveller to pay directly upon arrival to the local business)
  • Health & safety tips
  • Recommendation on equipment and where to hire it

Once we agree upon the hiking route, please allow us up to 14 days to create the itinerary. Please let us know in advance if you require an express service.

+ Why do I even need an itinerary for my hiking trip?

Well, sure you cannot go hiking without any preparation. As you can see, you have 2 options – hire a licensed mountain guide (prices start at 200euros per day) or do your own research.

The latter means you need to purchase a guide, a map and find a route that you think suits you most. As we have hiked all over the world, we know how stressful and time consuming that is. To spare you with troubles, we are offering you all our knowledge and expertise.

+ Other self-guided hikes cost 500EUR+, so why yours only 129EUR?

Many other self-guided hikes cover some accommodation and transport. Instead of giving you a non-flexible schedule and impose you our choice, we wish to go further and hand you over everything you need to experience the perfect hiking holidays, tailored to your needs. Our service will spare you endless hours of research for the hike of your dream and you will still be able to book the accommodation and transport that suits your needs.

+ What do you mean I get a physical map?

As we have said, you will get a proper hiking map of your region (scale 1:25.000 or 1:50.000) completely free of charge (we also cover a delivery fee). Please bear in mind that international delivery usually takes up to two weeks.

+ Is the cost of transport included?

We only offer our assistance; therefore, we plan your transport as part of the itinerary and adjust it to your needs. The actual cost is not included.

+ Which language can I choose?

At this moment, we only offer itineraries in English language.

+ How many hiking days are included in the itinerary?

The basic price covers up to 6 hiking days. Each additional day is charged 15 EUR extra.

+ I am not an experienced hiker. How tough does it get?

That is totally up to you. If you are an alpinist or this is your first real hike, we can prepare an itinerary that suits your needs. Slovenian Alps offer endless possibilities and with our knowledge and expertise, we guarantee you a hike that is perfect for you!

+ Is there a guarantee for your service?

We highly value your opinion and if you are not satisfied, neither are we. If there is anything that did not meet your expectations, please let us know and we promise to find a solution.

+ Which payment options are available?

At the moment, you can only pay through Paypal.

+ How long does it take to prepare an itinerary?

Once we agree upon the best route for you, we need up to 1 week to send you the itinerary. If you are in a hurry, please let us know and we will do our best to fulfil your needs.
